zAmya Theater Project uses the powerful combination of lived experience(s) and artistic expression to inspire our communities to work for housing justice for all.

zAmya Theater engaged Four Stones Consulting to support a strategy refresh, synthesizing past data and strategic planning efforts, and facilitating a board and leadership process to set strategic goals and priorities for the next 3 years. zAmya also wanted support in implementing the goals and priorities, including enhancing role clarity and collaboratively designing implementation work plans.

We worked with an ad hoc strategy committee and the Executive Director to design the approach. We did a deep dive analyzing and synthesizing evaluation and other program data, as well as past strategy documents. We designed an inclusive and multi-modal full day board retreat to further synthesize the data and map out the big picture goals. We then synthesized the retreat insights to develop a draft strategic refresh with goals, priorities and key tactics. We trained staff and board on applying a role clarity tool, and workshopped several real examples in real time. Finally, we presented the updated strategic roadmap and implementation plan to the board, and providing implementation coaching sessions to the team afterwards.
